Rebecca
Coffey is an award-winning writer, documentary filmmaker, and radio
commentator.
Her first book, Unspeakable Truths and Happy Endings: Human Cruelty and the New Trauma Therapy
was widely praised and
named an Outstanding Academic Title by the American Library
Association’s Choice magazine. Her award-winning television
documentaries about health and mental health have been broadcast
nationwide; her film “Attacking Anxiety” was twice featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Coffey currently contributes nonfiction science articles to Discover
magazine, commentaries to Vermont
Public Radio, and short fiction, humor, and essays to various literary
magazines. She recently completed a fictional autobiography of Anna
Freud, and is working on a collection of literary mashup recipes.
